Rest as Creative Practice

Central to my practice is the belief in rest as creative practice, an approach that recognizes the intrinsic connection between rest, creativity, and holistic well-being. In a world that often prioritizes constant activity and productivity, I believe rest to be a vital component of artistic and personal development.

My journey into this work stems from my own experience of burn-out and deep understanding of the body’s need for restoration and my commitment to honoring the natural rhythms of life. My practice of rest is about creating intentional spaces for restoration, reflection, rejuvenation and activation. I view rest as a sacred act that allows for the unfolding of creativity, where ideas and inspiration can emerge organically. This approach is deeply integrated into my teaching, where I encourage others to embrace rest as a means of deepening their creative process and connecting more fully with their inner selves.

Through my continued practice, I incorporate rest into into my breathwork sessions, sound baths, and energy practices, creating environments that invite participants to surrender to stillness and explore the profound insights that can arise in moments of quiet. I see rest as a form of stewardship - caring for the body, mind, and spirit in ways that honor the whole person. This philosophy aligns with my broader commitment to earth embodiment and stewardship, recognizing the parallels between caring for the earth and caring for oneself. My journey into rest as creative practice is an ongoing exploration, one that continues to evolve as I deepen my understanding of the interplay between rest, healing, creativity, and activation. It is a journey marked by a deep respect for the wisdom of the body and the earth.
